Commitees and Friends
The backbone of any volunteer organization like Rogers Street Fishing Village is found in the committees. Here at Rogers Street, committees are a wonderful way for people to get involved with the museum. Please look at our list of committees below and see if there is some committee that you may be interested in joining. We need your expertise and your kind efforts to help us keep history alive at Rogers Street for future generations.
Rogers Street Committees
Grounds Committee -- Helps with gardening, building maintenance, building projects, and other efforts related to the "bricks and mortar" of Rogers Street.
Volunteer Committee -- Helps by staffing the museum, working at our special events like Rogers Street Days and Kites Over Lake Michigan, and also help with the important task of recruiting more friends to volunteer.
Membership Committee -- Our members are very important and developing more and better services and programs is an important priority. This committee not only develops and recommends these benefit programs and also helps to recruit new members.
The French Canadian & Friends Organization -- This is a very special committee that works to preserve the memories of the fishing families and the French Canadians who first settled the Rogers Street area and helped start the commercial fishing industry.
For information on participating on any of the committees listed here or any others not listed please call the museum at (920) 793-5905.
