Membership
Members help us to preserve the memory of a bygone era in Lake Michigan history when commercial fishing fleets were found in every port and Two Rivers was the grandest commercial fishing port of them all.
Our port was once filled with commercial fishing tugs bearing colorful names like the AMITY, MERLEEN, ALLIE BROS., MORNING STAR, the SENATOR and so many more. In those days our riverbanks were lined with nets rolled up on reels drying in the summer sun.
Your membership will help us preserve memories of the Coast Guard practicing their rescue drill skills in the harbor basin.
By beginning your membership in Rogers Street Fishing Village you will be assisting us to finish our work preserving our historic buildings. Memberships allow us to continue restoring our fishing sheds and install special exhibits that chronicle the historic story of Lake Michigan commercial fishing.
When we are finished with our plans, members will be able to take advantage of a wonderful, spacious, year-round interpretive center that we are working towards building on the museum grounds.
Memberships in the museum entitle you to unlimited, free, visits to the museum, a subscription to our newsletter, the Rogers Street Village Press, and invitations to our annual events like the popular Smelt Extravaganza, and Rogers Street Days.
