Since 1969 Rogers Street Fishing Village has preserved our maritime heritage, the history of the French East Side, and the legacy of the commercial fishing industry that has operated in Two Rivers Since 1837. Below are things we have accomplished and work that still needs to be done.
- Relocated our French Canadian Home Exhibit into a new restored French Canadian Home being moved on the site
- Built an Education Center and New Building for Artifacts
- Protect, Preserve, Expand Our Collections
- Safeguard Our Roots in a Changing World
- Expand Exhibit Space and Expand Galleries
- Provide Year-Round Educational Programs
- Restoration work and protection of our 1886 North Pier Lighthouse and other buildings
- Rogers Street also documents the legend and lore of the Lake Michigan shipping industry, such as the 1912 loss of the famous Christmas Tree Ship
